About

the3dfix exists for the moment your 3D printer stops cooperating. When the first layer will not stick, the nozzle clogs or a corner starts lifting off the bed, we want you to find a clear answer on one page.

Most articles start with a problem: what you are seeing, why it happens and what to try, in order. There are also guides on calibration, filament and slicer settings, because most printing problems trace back to one of those three.

How the articles are written

We check the information against manufacturer documentation, open-source firmware docs (Marlin, Klipper) and the documentation of the slicers themselves. Temperatures and settings vary with the filament brand and the printer, so numbers are always given as starting ranges rather than fixed answers.

When something is outdated or wrong, we correct the article, and updated articles show the new date under the title. If you spot a mistake, let us know.
